The extended search, acquisition and development of the Farris Ranch property has been a labor of love from the very beginning. The family goal was to create and provide a place of peace, beauty, and joy that could be shared with all who enter the gate with the Texas Star.
We have been blessed far beyond our deserving and hope to share the joy of Farris Ranch with our family and friends for many many years to come.
I believe this quote from Dr. Seuss best sums up my thoughts and feelings. “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” I am grateful to my son John for providing a platform that allows us to document these special times and memories together.

Today we have been blessed by finally adding additional acreage to the ranch. After many attempts we have been blessed by adding 9 new acres to the west side of the property. This will give a buffer as well as additional pasture for the cattle. Now the work begins including spraying, clearing, seeding, pond digging and Priefert fencing. Give us a couple of years and it will be as pretty as the rest of the ranch.
